A Little Family Update

Zara Dress (here), Steve Madden Shoes (here)

Life has been a little bit crazy over here in the Leavitt household, sorry I’ve been a little M.I.A. But I’m back and thought I would share a little update on what’s going on with our family!

For starters we are PREGNANT! We couldn’t be more excited and shocked! (I’ll share a post on that soon!) little did we know that during these photos we took for our 1 year anniversary that we were pregnant! Our photographer asked us if we thought about starting our family yet, we told her that we were starting to try! Which is funny to look back on now, just two weeks later we found out we were expecting!

We also bought a house!! Our very first home! (I’ll also share a post on our home soon) It’s a perfect little home to start our family in! It was built in 1948 and was remodeled right before we moved in. I love how cozy it feels! It’s also so nice having extra rooms for our family and friends to stay in when they come to visit! We also now have a backyard for Oakley girl! She loves it!

This summer we also had a little scare. Preston started getting really sick, we finally took him to the hospital and found out he has Type 1 Diabetes. It’s genetic in his family. Of course that was heartbreaking to hear, but we are so grateful for the wonderful doctors we have been able to work with and get a hold on it. It’s been an adjustment of lifestyle for us but we are finally getting the hang of everything.

This first year of marriage has been nothing short of amazing! Even with the stressful and trialing times, I am so grateful to have Preston by my side to do life with! We got to travel a lot this year as well, which was a blast! Mexico, California, different parts of Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Kauai, Texas, Canada, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, & Washington D.C.! I’ve always been a traveling junky! It’s so fun being married to someone who loves going on adventures and trips with me!! We have some fun trips planned for this next year!
